Caetano Coimbra, M.D., has practiced neurosurgery in Dallas since 1994. During this period he has held appointments at several reputable institutions. His interests include Skull Base surgery and brain tumors.
Dr. Coimbra currently serves as Director at the Minimally Invasive Brain Surgery Center at Medical City Dallas Hospital. Furthermore, he isthe Co-Director at the Baylor Skull Base Center at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas. His selective and tertiary practice has fostered the opportunity to develop unique expertise and commitment in the treatment of complex brain tumors and skull base conditions. Dr. Barcelo has proven expertise in the art and science of craniomaxillofacial surgery, with emphasis on aesthetic and reconstructive facial surgery, aesthetic and functional rhinology, clefts and jaw (orthognathic) surgery. In addition to his extensive graduate and post-graduate learning, he was also chosen for a 3-year fellowship with the World Craniofacial Foundation at Medical City Dallas Hospital, under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Salyer.

A native of Dallas, Dr. Shulkin specializes in diseases of the eyelid and orbit In both children and adults. His interests include thyroid eye disease, the eye socket, eye muscle disorders, droopy eyelids, and tumors of the eyelid and ocular adnexa. His cross training as a neuro-ophthalmologist gives him a unique understanding of diseases of the orbit. Dr. Shulkin's unique and extensive training allows him to have an in depth understanding of both the functional and cosmetic needs of his patients.

Interests, Techniques and Training
Dr. Genecov specializes in craniomaxillofacial surgery for children and adults with congenital and acquired malformations. With extensive training and experience in plastic surgery, he is particularly adept in restoring/achieving both function and aesthetics for patients in his care.
Dr. Genecov and his team use dimension computer planning and intraoperative surgical navigation to enhance their ability to treat complex and secondary cases.
A native of Dallas, Dr. Genecov is an internationally recognized expert in craniofacial surgery. Cleft lip and palate repair, distraction osteogenesis, hypertelorism and ear reconstruction are among his interests.

Dr. Genecov lectures worldwide on all aspects of craniomaxillofacial and plastic/reconstructive surgery, publishes papers in national and international literature, and has authored four medical book chapters.

Dr. Barcelo has written and published nearly a dozen journal articles over the past 18 years, covering craniomaxillofacial surgical techniques and topics in the areas of craniosynostosis, distraction osteogenesis, treatment of rare syndromes and bone generation. He has lectured nationally and internationally at more than a dozen national and international meetings, addressing topics such as Syndromal Craniosynostosis, Distraction Osteogenesis of the Facial Skeleton, and Compromised Airway in Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

Dr. Zev A. Shulkin
Ophthalmologist, International Craniofacial Institute
Dr. Shulkin devotes a significant portion of his time to surgical approaches to eye muscle disorders and can help patients who have disabling double vision or a wandering eye. He also performs cosmetic injectable treatments and cosmetic eyelid procedures to help his patients restore a more youthful appearance.

Interests, Techniques and Training
Dr. Brad McGowan received his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He went on to complete his internship in general surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He returned to Dallas to complete his neurological surgery residency at UT Southwestern.
During his residency, Dr. McGowan spent additional time focusing on tumors of the brain and spinal cord, along with complex spinal instrumentation and reconstruction. Additionally, Dr. McGowan received comprehensive training in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms.Dr. McGowan has provided neurosurgery services at Dallas Brain, Spine, and Skull Base Surgery since July of 2011.
Interests, Techniques and Training

Although he is experienced in all aspects of craniofacial and plastic surgery for both children and adults, his particular areas of interest include syndromic and non-syndromic craniofacial surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, ear reconstruction, ear well molding, and distraction osteogenesis.
Additionally, he is actively involved in collaborative research on cleft lip and palate and velopharyngeal insufficiency.
Dr. Beale has traveled internationally on several medical mission trips with LEAP Foundation, which provides free medical treatment and surgery for children with congenital and acquired craniofacial deformities.

Throughout his career, Dr. Beale has researched and published numerous articles in peer reviewed medical journals and has presented his findings at medical meetings both locally and nationally. He has also authored book chapters on adult and pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Education
Dr. Beale earned his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia where he graduated cum laude. He then attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. There, he was a member of the Surgery Honors Program, Admissions Committee, and was elected by his peers to the Arthur P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Society. Dr. Beale then completed general and plastic surgery training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where he was named Administrative Chief Resident and was a recipient of the Resident Excellence in Teaching Award for two consecutive years. Following his residency, Dr. Beale completed a fellowship in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery at Medical City Dallas Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Joseph Beshay, MD

Dr. Joseph Beshay received his medical degree from East Carolina University where he graduated with honors. He then completed internships in Internal Medicine, as well as, General Surgery at UT Southwestern. He went on to complete his residency in Neurological Surgery at UT Southwestern and completed an infolded fellowship in minimally invasive spine surgery at the Semmes-Murphy clinic in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Beshay was then recruited to the Faculty at UT Southwestern where he treated patients with various cranial and spinal diseases. He joined Dallas Brain, Spine & Skull Base Surgery in October 2012. His current interests include tumors of the brain and spine, minimally invasive spine surgery, complex spinal reconstruction and epilepsy surgery.
In addition to surgical treatment of intracranial and spinal disease, Dr. Beshay has interest in neurological bleeding and its reversal. He has authored multiple publications in this area.
